I would like to introduce myself and give you some background on my Auction experience. From 1999 to 2004 I was employed as a Marketing Manager and Auctioneer for a 5 office Real Estate company in Christchurch. Among a variety of tasks, I mentored new salespeople and implemented marketing campaigns, I accompanied salespeople and assisted them in procuring auctions. I was involved in the auction marketing programme from day one, helping the salesperson in setting up and running the auction campaign, having one-on-one weekly vendor meetings, writing weekly reports and conducting the auction day process. From May 2005, I spent 16 months managing the Harcourts franchise in Fiji. The duties I carried out for that office were very similar to the work I did previously and I called a large number of successful auctions. On my return to New Zealand, I accepted the Branch Manager position for a Real Estate office in Rangiora, which lead in my being offered the position of Business Development Officer in a multi national Corporate office. Now as Marketing Manager/Auctioneer for Four Seasons Realty Ltd, my experience will assist you to achieve your Real Estate goals. Over the years I have been involved in hundreds of auctions, using my expertise in this area to run an effective marketing programme for clients. I have achieved fantastic results and I find it easy to achieve a successful outcome for everyone involved, when I have an absolute belief and passion for auctions.

Don Buick
Sales Consultant
Don was born and raised in Christchurch. His interests are photography, skiing, tennis, and the gym. While we were enjoying a belated 2010 New Zealand summer, Don had 2 weeks great skiing at Banff, Canada; not far from the Winter Olympics at Whistler. Don was originally a primary school teacher but left teaching to turn his passion for photography into a successful business. For the best part of 25 years he was a self-employed professional wedding and portrait photographer in Auckland and from 1990, back in Christchurch. In 2000 Don decided on a change of direction and became involved in the marketing of investment properties, becoming the top NZ sales person for his company in 2001. During 2002, Don presented 32 investment property seminars to audiences in Wellington and Christchurch. Moving to real estate in early 2003 was a logical progression, when the Auckland based company withdrew from the Christchurch market. Don had a year with Harcourts, and moved to First National in April 2004 when the opportunity arose to both sell real estate and market investment properties. In February 2007 he made the shift to Ray White to join a friendly, customer-focused team led by Rana Ransley. In December 2007, Rana decided to re-join the Harcourts brand, so he’s gone full circle and is now back with Harcourts. Don gets great satisfaction helping people achieve their real estate goals. Erin Callanan AREINZ

With her lively outgoing manner, Erin Callanan instantly captures people’s trust as they embark on the early stages of the real estate process. Clients soon find that her genuine warmth for people complements sharp sector knowledge. Erin’s expertise has been developed during more than 13 years listing and selling properties for Harcourts’ clients throughout Christchurch. “It wasn’t a love of houses that attracted me to the industry early on,” Erin says. “Instead, I am people focused – I really enjoy relating to people of all different types, finding out about their needs and then matching them with a property.” Erin’s training and career as a teacher stand her in excellent stead during the process involved in selling or buying a property. Once she has established a rapport with her clients, she is well placed to be a guide and an advocate in a process where there are frequent obstacles or setbacks. Erin tackles every assignment with a huge amount of energy and this commitment has brought her a lot of repeat business from satisfied clients, as well as top tier placings among Harcourts’ highest achievers. She has enjoyed so much success in real estate that she has recently taken on the role of Sales Manager for Harcourts Four Seasons Hoon Hay. Her responsibilities include encouraging and mentoring the sales consultant team and overseeing how they achieve their goals. Her priority, though, remains “working at the coalface.” She says her passion lies with meeting the property needs of clients, and she always adopts an optimistic approach to the challenges that arise. Christchurch born and raised, Erin is committed to having a work/life balance so that she can spend time with her family, while still providing a top flight real estate service. She is also a talented singer, performing with Southern Opera and other music/drama groups. Erin also makes her fitness a priority and enjoys sessions at the gym as well as walking and running.
